Selections from Ryder's growing photo portfolio "Oaktown" are featured in nine different Bay Area exhibits through early May. Cited by two mayors and the City Council for the works, he was selected as a finalist in San Francisco's annual Museum of the African Diaspora (MOAD) competition. The works blend documentary and urban landscape in a refutation of the toxic negative stereotyping of Oakland and are touring the Bay Area in the Richmond Art Center's Art of the African Diaspora (AOTAD) exhibition program for ten weeks. Ryder will also meet audiences through Artists Talks at the show venues.
