Bio

Blue Guldal (any/all/o) is a geneticist by training and an editor in nonprofit healthcare by trade. She’s a 2025 Lambda Literary fellow. She was the recipient of the 2024 Erin Donovan Fellowship for the Mineral Arts and Residencies (MARS) and a full fellowship for the Vermont Studio Center residency in 2025. Her work has been recognized and supported by the Kenyon Review Workshop, Sewanee Writers’ Conference, McCormack Writing Center (formerly Tin House) Workshop, and the Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity. Her writing has appeared in Reckon Review, Occulum and Beneath Ceaseless Skies. Her story, “Where the Cat Lives,” is forthcoming in 2027 as a chapbook in the Futures Vol. 2 by RADIX. Her short stories have garnered praise as semifinalist in The Short(er) Fiction Prize (American Short Fiction), finalist in the Robert Day Award for Fiction (New Letters), and finalist in the Montana Prize for Fiction (Whitefish Review). She’s currently working on her first novel and divides her time between Long Beach, CA, and Brooklyn, NY, with her partner of twenty-four years. She can be reached at www.blueguldal.com.
