The tenth book by Peter Benjaminson, '77, "The Life and Times of Betty Boop: The 100-Year History of An Animated Icon," will be released by Rowman & Littlefield publishers on Nov. 15. It will be the only biography of the charming Ms. Boop ever published. Peter, who wrote one academically published book before coming to Princeton, was inspired by his time as a Sloan Fellow in Economics Journalism at the School of Public and International Affairs to write nine commercially published books after graduating from the program, including "The Story of Motown," "Death in the Afternoon: America's Newspaper Giants Struggle for Survival," "The Lost Supreme: The Life of Dreamgirl Florence Ballard," "Mary Wells: The Tumultuous Life of Motown's First Superstar," "Super Freak: The Life of Rick James," "Secret Police: Inside the New York City Department of Investigation," "Publish Without Perishing," and, with Bill Haley Jr., "Crazy Man, Crazy, The Bill Haley Story."
