New Art and Meditation Podcast from Getty

Podcast cover

This summer, Getty launched its first video podcast—OMMM: Our Museum Mindfulness Meditation. Part art history, part mindfulness meditation, each episode focuses on one work of art and uses it as an inspiration for meditation and reflection.

Hosted by Getty Museum educator Lilit Sadoyan, OMMM is a space for listeners to recover and reflect in a busy world. Released twice weekly, episodes guide listeners in a breathing exercise and meditation, and provide insights about featured artworks.

The first season includes 12 meditation episodes, each focused on a different artwork from Getty’s collection including “Irises” by Vincent van Gogh, “Waiting” by Edgar Degas, and the Central Garden at the Getty Center, designed by Robert Irwin. New episodes will be released through the first week of September.

You can watch on Getty's website and YouTube. If you'd like to take a break from screens, listen on your favorite podcast app.

The series is produced by Zoe Goldman ('11).
