Armed with a History PhD from Oxford, Dr. Jake A. Robertson '15 is channeling his skills as a historian & storyteller into a brand new family history service: Ancestory!

Ancestory weaves together meticulous research with inspired people-centered storytelling to create a personalized immersive narrative journey through your family’s past. Challenging genealogical conventions, Ancestory moves beyond dusty binders and tangled trees toward a more meaningful experience that connects you to the human story of your ancestors and transports you into the dynamic world that shaped their lives. The experience is curated by Dr. Jake A. Robertson, an Oxford historian and professional theatermaker whose career has taken him from Ivy League universities to remote archives in the Scottish Highlands and the Russian Subarctic, from the boards of Shakespeare’s Globe and New York’s Off-Broadway to New England history museums and Chicago cabarets. Dr. Robertson’s practice as a researcher, educator & artist has been devoted to unearthing human stories from lost pages of history and sharing them with audiences all over the world.
