Bio:

Rachel Kadish is the award-winning author of the novels The Weight of InkFrom a Sealed Room, and Tolstoy Lied: a Love Story, as well as the novella I Was Here. Her work has earned a National Jewish Book Award, the Julia Ward Howe Fiction Prize, and the John Gardner Fiction Award. Her work has been read on National Public Radio and has appeared in The New York Times, Slate, SalonParis Review, Iowa Review, and the Pushcart Prize Anthology. She has been a fellow of the National Endowment for the Arts and the Massachusetts Cultural Council and a Koret Writer-in-Residence at Stanford University. She lives outside Boston and teaches writing in the Harvard University Extension School.
