I write to help readers show up for their own stories—navigating uncertainty with confidence and seeking strength in community. As the mother of three, including a two-time Winter Olympian, I know the importance of balancing drive and determination with comfort and compassion. Ranging from sports to music, history and adventure, my lyrical picture books and novels in verse explore friendship, resilience and voice... sparking young people to believe in possibilities, stay grounded and true to themselves, and find joy in second chances, win or lose. My work has been published in WBUR Cognoscenti, the Boston Globe, LA Times, Japan Times, and Princeton Alumni Weekly, as well as Friends and Anemones: Ocean Poems for Children.
