Me in 50 words or less: I am a classical singer (opera, chamber music) and recently retired arts administrator (Senior Director of Development for an opera company). Love all forms of music and am an avid audience member and arts advocate when I'm not singing!

Bio

Alina recently retired as Opera Carolina’s Senior Director for Development. She managed patron and subscriber relationships and was also part of the marketing and community engagement teams. She performed with Opera Carolina for over 20 years and continues to sing with Royal Voices of Charlotte and at Myers Park United Methodist Church. Alina graduated from Princeton University in 1981 with a Bachelor of Science in Engineering and transitioned to non-profit management in 2005, serving as the Executive Director of Charlotte Sister Cities and the Charlotte International Cabinet prior to joining Opera Carolina. She serves on the boards of the Women’s Impact Fund and Charlotte Sister Cities and was previously on the board of the Polish School of Charlotte.
