Chelsea Music Festival launches its annual June Festival with five dynamic days of concerts, conversation, and collaborations with musicians, visual artists, chefs. Taking inspiration from the rich siblinghood, friendship, and deep bond between Fanny and Felix Mendelssohn on the 175th anniversary of their passing, Co-Artistic Directors Melinda Lee Masur and Ken-David Masur present “Not Without You,” which honors the Mendelssohns’ legacy and the need for collaboration. Improper Walls: "Hast du Lust?" ("Would you be interested?"), group show and events

"Hast du Lust?" Group Show, Improper Walls: Art proved to be an essential tool to draw attention to social and environmental issues throughout history. After speaking about the general shame surrounding the symptoms of mental disorders, for this year's Mental Health Awareness Month, we are using contemporary art to discuss the role of mental health within the context of sexual pleasure. With the persevering stigma and lack of sex education, we need every opportunity and medium to open up a discussion on these topics, particularly their interconnectedness. Michael Robert Jimenez '12 has an installation in this show called "alien self".
