OBJECT PERMANENCE
a half-silent play based on true events
created and directed by Nico Krell '18
In a house where every sneeze is dangerous, every footstep is calculated, and every attachment is a liability, seven siblings turn silence into an art form.
Their captors want perfect stillness — but the siblings master the choreography of silent communication.
They invent. They entertain. They keep watch. And, with an impossible self-control, they teach themselves how to disappear.
Object Permanence is a half-silent drama based on true events — a bizarre household fueled by vehement play, a peculiar ecosystem, teetering hierarchies, and partnerships with lit fuses. Through physical feats, the captive siblings eke out an idea of what is real, and what doesn’t exist.
