New Work: Nineteen/Ninety/One

19 90 01 Poster

Nineteen/Ninety/One is a new performance: a short, seething time capsule of true stories from the discarded and derelict New York queers in the late 80s/early 90s. It’s a pulsing, protean dance-theater piece about queer rage, domestic fracture, and national identity.

created by Nico Krell '18

with choreographer Thomas Hogan and composer Gideon Broshy

adapted from text by David Wojnarowicz

featuring Rudy Giron, David Glover, Nik Mucha, Emilio Ramos, Gilberto Saenz, Eric Stinehart '20, and Felix Teich

presented as part of The Brick's ?!:New Works Festival in Williamsburg on April 15th and 16th, alongside three other new short pieces.

The show is made possible in part by The Foundation for Contemporary Arts.
