Save the dates, June 6-15, for the Chelsea Music Festival's 10th Anniversary! We are celebrating composer and pianist Clara Schumann’s bicentennial. The title of our theme is "200° due Clara" because Clara Schumann was the most respected pianist and collaborator of her time. The title not only highlights the 200th anniversary of her birth but also points, like a compass of sorts, to the profound inspiration she was to her husband Robert Schumann, peers, and composers around her.
In honor of Clara Schumann and her legacy as well as our tenth season, Chelsea Music Festival is commissioning ten women to compose and premiere pieces for this season.
