THE HELLO GIRLS is an inspiring musical about a group of intrepid women recruited as bilingual telephone operators who served with valor in the U.S. Army Signal Corps during World War I. At war’s end, the Army did not recognize them as veterans; it took almost 60 years for these courageous women to receive their due as veterans.

Music and lyrics by Peter Mills ’95 (who has been the music director for many Triangle shows over the years), the book is by Mills and Cara Reichel ‘96, and the show is directed by Reichel.

The show was developed by Prospect Theater Company, which was founded by Princeton alumni, including Mills and Reichel, 20 years ago. Prospect’s mission is to develop new musicals by emerging artists who work in diverse genres and styles. The company received a 2016 Obie award grant.

Previews begin November 13 at 59 E59 Theaters in NYC.
